Henry D. Madsen

Henry D. Madsen

Henry graduated from the University of Idaho in 1991 while working for Idaho Legal Aid in Twin Falls, Idaho. In 1993, he moved to Kootenai County and was hired on as a deputy prosecutor for the county. In 2006 he left the prosecutors office to practice law on his own. Henry specializes in a wide variety of practice areas including criminal defense, family law, auto accidents, construction, real estate, personal injury and more. 

In his spare time, Henry enjoys fishing and duck hunting. He is a proud supporter of Ducks Unlimited, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and associated upland habitats for waterfowl, other wildlife. Henry considers himself to be "a country lawyer", helping friends, family, and clients any way he can.  

Support Staff

Jan - Paralegal

Jan has been with Madsen Law Offices, P.C since 2013. Jan has experience in all areas of practice that fall under Henry Madsen's scope of practice, mainly focusing on estate planning and evictions. 

When she is not at the office, Jan enjoys photography, walking her Labradoodles, long-distance bike rides, kayaking, and camping.

Shastine - Paralegal

Shastine moved to Coeur d’Alene in 2016 where she graduated from North Idaho College with a A.A.S in Paralegal studies and has continued her education to the University of Idaho where she will earn a B.S. in Criminology; with law school as her end goal. Working for Madsen Law Offices, P.C., she has gained experience in all areas of practice, but mostly focuses on real property, real estate, civil litigation, business, corporate, administrative, environmental, employment, malpractice, contract, personal injury, and family law. When she is not in the office, Shastine enjoys spending time with her son Bentlee and two dogs, traveling, exploring North Idaho, kayaking, hiking, and volunteering at North Idaho CASA as a Child’s Advocate.

Heidi - Legal Asisstant

Heidi moved to North Idaho in 2007 with her family where she attended North Idaho College earning a degree in Social Work. She's also volunteered at North Idaho CASA as an advocate for children. She has since decided to get more involved in the legal field and began working with Madsen Law Offices, P.C. in January of 2021. At the firm, Heidi has gained experience in all areas of practice and will be a certified Paralegal once she completes her schooling this summer with The Center for Legal Studies. Her future goal is to attend law school and become an Associate here at Madsen Law Offices, P.C. When she is not in the office, Heidi is spending quality time with her three daughters and grandson, dirt bike riding, decorating her new apartment, and enjoying the beautiful scenery of North Idaho

Jennifer - Mediator / Admin

Jennifer has been with Madsen Law Offices, P.C. since the fall of 2020. She's excited to implement a client-focused lean law practice from her background in lean business management. 

As a mediator, she enjoys mediating workplace conflict, family law including divorce and custody, and assisting parties with their parenting plans. She also focuses on elder care and special needs mediation. Her background as Professor teaching courses in Gerontology and Recreational Therapy provides important insight into the issues that are so important in these mediations.

When she is not at the office, Jen enjoys anything outdoors and on the water, gardening, and hosting nutrient-dense cooking demonstrations.
